My alarm did not go off this morning, and I was suppose to wake up my friend this morning at 6am. Thankfully, hers did work and I woke up with Marie’s alarm at 6:30. We were to be packed and ready to leave at 7:15. We loaded into two city busses and headed to the Ningbo Airport. Everything went quickly through check-in and security. We had an hour and a half before boarding. Better to be early then late …
So, last night we were presented with flowers again, and there were two beautiful bouquets full of lilies, daisies, and roses, then sprinkled with glitter. To help Linda out, I took one to carry, and now it’s my flowers … hmmm, what to do with them. It looks so weird as I carry around this huge, beautiful bouquet through the airport. I can’t complain though. Linda is carrying a huge bunch of roses, collected from all the last bouquets we were given from each venue/host. I have several I’m drying, but I had to pack them in my check-in so we’ll see if they last the airport handling. It’ll be interesting …
Awwwww … when we got on the bus in Qingdao, a note was passed back to me from my “Secret Admirers” thanking me for all I do for the team. It was so sweet! I love this team! They are so great!!!! I don’t want to graduate if I have to leave the dance department.
Today is a day of rest as we check into our hotel, eat lunch, have our church service, then have free time until dinner. CCTV did come to interview three people for the tv recording we’ll do when we reach Beijing. Oh … did I mention our show will be recorded and shown on CCTV, which will constantly be shown throughout China for the next few years.
Our group church meeting was great, and I have notes in my hand-written journal about it, so I decided not to say much. It was great and I have to say my favorite times is on tour with dance groups. The spirit is always so strong!
During free time, I had some dancers use my computer while I took a nap. After dinner, I joined Megan, Shawn, Aubrey, Jay, Micah, Chris, and Nick on a walk around the beach. We saw some great vending places to visit tomorrow and then walked on the beach to take pictures and such. I was really nice outside! The wind was blowing, but it felt really good. I love the seaside and would love to live in such a place someday.
I spent the evening with Aubrey and Jay learning about Skype and using their wireless network for internet. Now I know how to share my internet through a network. EXCITING!!! But now I really should go to bed!
From September 2009 to March 2011, I will be posting to my other blog. For those who want to follow my mission experiences in Florida Fort Lauderdale, please go to:

Stagehands have astonishing learning curves. It's not unusual for stage crews to have trucks full of unknown scenery arrive at a theatre on Monday, which we need to assemble and understand to open a show we've never seen before... on Tuesday night.
Most people, if confronted with such a task, would flatly say it was impossible.
Stagehands find ways to make it possible. We learn quickly, we draw upon years of experience, skills and training, and (all too often) we drink lots of coffee and work all night.
I've had one longstanding handicap in my career as a stagehand. I don't drink coffee.
