Day Twelve
Well, the last day of filming has come and gone. It is a Picture Wrap! Work went from noon until 10:45. Of course, it took 25 minutes to drive to the last site, then cast and crew did not arrive until 1:30. Also, we had a two and a half hour break. So . . . I worked about seven hours or so. The last scene that we shot was of a big bonfire representing the mob burning the homes and belongings of pioneers. Karissa and I both sat by the fire and made smores. It was quite fun! Then we unloaded all our equipment at the FSSS at the MPS. All that is left is the Wrap Party tonight. It has been an amazing experience and I will miss every moment.

Stagehands have astonishing learning curves. It's not unusual for stage crews to have trucks full of unknown scenery arrive at a theatre on Monday, which we need to assemble and understand to open a show we've never seen before... on Tuesday night.
Most people, if confronted with such a task, would flatly say it was impossible.
Stagehands find ways to make it possible. We learn quickly, we draw upon years of experience, skills and training, and (all too often) we drink lots of coffee and work all night.
I've had one longstanding handicap in my career as a stagehand. I don't drink coffee.
